The upcoming reComputer Mini J501 from Seeed Studio is a compact carrier board engineered specifically for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin module. Its 110 mm × 110 mm footprint offers a space-efficient hardware platform for robotics and embedded AI systems, while preserving the full set of I/O required for sensing, control, and high-performance edge computing. This makes it well-suited for mechanical environments where traditional full-size carrier boards cannot be deployed.

reComputer Mini J501 Top View
The Mini J501 enhances system flexibility through its well-balanced expansion layout. Dual M.2 slots enable scalable NVMe storage and wireless connectivity, while the exposed bottom-side industrial interfaces (CAN, RS-485, DIO, I²S) support robotics, automation, and edge-control applications. When paired with the optional 8-channel GMSL2 camera board, the carrier can handle multi-sensor robotics workloads without requiring additional aggregation hardware.
On the software side, the board integrates seamlessly into the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem. With full JetPack and SDK support—including CUDA, TensorRT, multimedia libraries, and hardware-access APIs—developers can efficiently build, deploy, and optimize edge-AI applications with reduced integration effort.
Seeed Studio has not yet announced the official launch date or pricing for the reComputer Mini J501. Early testing opportunities are currently available for users with prior Jetson development experience. Selected applicants will evaluate the board within robotics or AI-edge projects and provide structured feedback. The application window remains open until December 20, 2025.
