EBYTE has introduced the new ECB32 series, a line of industrial-grade single-board computers (SBCs) powered by Allwinner A527 and T527 processors.
Designed in the familiar Raspberry Pi–like form factor, the board integrates dual MIPI camera interfaces, AI acceleration, and a broad range of I/O options, making it suitable for embedded development, IoT edge devices, and intelligent commercial applications.
The ECB32 shares much of its design philosophy with the Walnut Pi 2B and bears similarities to the Orange Pi 4A, while targeting higher reliability and long-term operation in industrial environments.

The ECB32 lineup comes in three primary configurations based on the underlying Allwinner SoC:
- A527 Commercial Edition
Models: ECB32-PBA2-N (2GB) and ECB32-PBA4-N (4GB)
Uses MicroSD for OS installation; no onboard NPU.
Ideal for non-AI commercial or educational deployments. - T527M Industrial Edition
Models: ECB32-PBT2-N (2GB) and ECB32-PBT4-N (4GB)
Industrial-grade SoC with wide-temperature tolerance; designed for rugged use. - T527MN AI-Enhanced Edition
Model: ECB32-PBTN4E32-N
Includes 4GB LPDDR4, 32GB eMMC, and integrated 2 TOPS NPU for AI inference and vision workloads.
Software Support and Reliability Testing
EBYTE provides a complete software environment for developers:
- OS Compatibility: Linux, Debian, and Buildroot distributions
- Graphics & Frameworks: Wayland compositor, Qt toolkit, and Python runtime pre-supported
- Kernel & SDK: Linux 5.15.147, U-Boot 2018.07, and Buildroot SDK 202205
- BSP & Drivers: Includes SPL, U-Boot, kernel sources, and BSP drivers for audio, CAN, GPIO, and more
- AI Framework Support: The T527MN variant adds compatibility with TensorFlow, Keras, ONNX, and Caffe
- Development Tools: PhoenixSuit and PhoenixCard (flashing utilities), YUV Player, CH341SER USB-UART driver, and full documentation (currently hosted via Baidu links)
Reliability Testing:
All ECB32 units reportedly undergo
- 72-hour burn-in,
- 3,000-cycle power-on/off endurance, and
- full I/O stability testing,
ensuring long-term reliability under industrial workloads.
